“I need you in my arms, need you to hold. You’re my world, my heart, my soul.”
Candice + Nick were blessed with one of the most beautiful days of the summer for their wedding day.
After getting dressed in her gorgeous gown, Candice made her way to the Deane House to see her groom. Nick was dressed in a traditional Scottish kilt, with family colours and symbols incorporated into his outfit. He waited in the shade of a tree, and was absolutely mesmerized when he turned around to see Candice as a beautiful bride. We made our way to St Patrick’s Island and took photos amidst all the families who were out and about, enjoying the summer weather. We even had a line of Segways roll past, with lots of shouts of congratulations for the bride & groom.
After taking photos, it was time to make things official! Candice made her way through the garden, preceded by an entourage of ring bearers and flower girls. They exchanged beautiful, personal vows and became husband and wife in front of family and friends. As they walked down the aisle together, guests blew bubbles and then celebrated with a champagne toast.
The reception was held in the outdoor tent at Deane House. The gorgeous summer light flooded in from every side and we got to watch as the sun went down beyond the city skyline. The room was impeccably decorated by Amy and her team at Lynn Fletcher Weddings. There were candles and flowers, accented with blue and gold, highlighted by the light of the bright summer evening. Many family and friends spoke about the genuine friendship that Candice and Nick shared with them, and also with each other. They are a perfect fit and I loved watching how much they love and care for one another. And with a last name like “Wright”, Candice can literally say that she has found her “Mr. Wright.”
Candice + Nick – thank you both SO much for allowing me to capture your love. I hope that your life together is filled with love and laughter. Much love, Carlin
