First Baptist Church Calgary Wedding
Jennifer + Jordan’s Wedding was so full of joy that, much like after my own wedding day, my cheeks were hurting from smiling and I had to massage my jaw when I got home! These two are absolutely smitten with each other, and they were beaming with a pure, joyful love for the entire day.
I think I literally gasped when I saw Jennifer’s dress. With a sheer bodice, a hint of grey, a touch of whimsy, and all. that. tulle, it was breathtaking. When her dad saw her for the first time in it he said, ‘it’s very you!’ Jenn + Jordan then had their own first look behind Jenn’s parents house, and we got to capture some really sweet moments of Jordan’s reaction to his stunning bride.
The wedding ceremony was held downtown at First Baptist Church in Calgary. With its stained glass, beautiful chandelier, and historic architecture, this made for a gorgeous place for the bride & groom to join their lives together in front of family and friends. Jenn even managed to slip in a little Star Wars humour into her vows to Jordan!
We had an amazing time taking photos both outside and at the Calgary Central Library, before heading up to Calgary Winter Club for their reception. They ate delicious food, played the shoe game, and listened to stories from their childhoods from parents and friends. We snuck outside for a few more evening photos at dusk before ending the evening on a sweet note with salted caramel & chocolate whisky macarons.
Jenn + Jordan – thank you both SO much for allowing me to capture this incredible time in your lives! It was truly a pleasure to spend your wedding day with you, and I pray that your marriage will be filled with ever-increasing joy! Much love, Carlin
