Sirocco Golf Club Wedding
“I love you and I like you.”
On a gorgeous first day of September, Jillian put on her wedding dress while Patrick dressed in his suit. Each surrounded by their best friends, they read handwritten love notes from their beloved, anticipating the moment they would become husband and wife. Jillian gave her girls thoughtful gifts and letters, and Patrick played Sushi Go Party with his guys. They each put on a tiny ladybug in memory of Jillian’s mom, and made their way to Sirocco Golf Club to have a private moment together before the ceremony.
We drove around in a parade of golf carts to take photos in the country fields and by a little barn that looks like it will topple over at any time. And then Jillian was escorted down the aisle by her dad, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the ridge. There were many tears, lots of laughter, and their love was tangible. Speeches at the reception were both funny and heartfelt, and then Patrick + Jillian got the party going with a choreographed first dance that included spins and lifts!
We snuck out for what is my most favourite time at a wedding – sunset. A few moments alone, to drink in the day, and to let your joy sink down deep into your hearts and memory. Patrick + Jillian, it was a true pleasure to photograph your wedding day. I hope that these photos take you back to all these precious moments for many years to come. Much love, Carlin
