“In all the world there is no heart for me like yours.
In all the world there is no love for you like mine.”
-Maya Angelou
One of my favourite winter activities is driving out to Banff on a crisp, clear day. It feels as though you can see beyond forever as the mountains are visible as soon as you’re heading out of the city. Andrew and Courtney chose to get married at the castle in the mountains, aka the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Travelling all the way from England, they brought lots of family and friends with them to witness this spectacular place and their lifelong promise to one another.
The sun was bright and the day was cold. After an intimate first look above Mount Stephens Hall, Courtney bundled up in a cute Hudsons Bay wool coat and met her groom at Tunnel Mountain Meadow. They said their I Do’s in front of a majestic mountain landscape. We braved the cold for portraits in the snow and the bridal party even got to roast some marshmallows. They had fun, even if they burned all the marshmallows (apparently that’s not something Brits do often?)
With everyone gathered in Fairmont’s Ivor Petrak Hall, the newlywed couple made their entrance and spent the evening celebrating with good food, drinks, and dancing.
Andrew & Courtney – thank you so much for allowing me to spend such an amazing day with you and your families. I wish you so much love and joy in your new life together. Much love, Carlin
