Calgary Engagement Photos
We started out by heading to one of my favourite little hidden spots, only to discover that it had been levelled to make room for a new condo complex. Sad day. So we improvised and went up to Nose Hill Park as the rain came down and the winds blew. And we completely lucked out because not only did we get an awesome stormy sky, but things calmed down and we were able to get some beautiful sunset photos as well.
It was such a joy for me to see how much in love Trevan and Vanessa are. We pretty much just laughed throughout the entire session and they had so much fun enjoying each others company.
They are incredibly excited to be married and start their life together, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for these two. Congratulations again Trevan and Vanessa! May you continue to grow in love – I can’t wait to see you become husband and wife!

Elbow Falls Engagement Photos
Kyle & Meryl met at a running club while training for Triathlon, and Meryl asked Kyle to go cross country skiing with her and some friends. As fate would have it, the friends never showed, and it ended up being just the two of them. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they wanted to spend their lives together, and are planning a summer wedding for later this year.
We met up early one Saturday morning and drove out to Elbow Falls in the beautiful Kananaskis mountains. While managing to beat the rush of tourist buses, we played in the trees, on the rocks, and by the waterfall to create these images together.
Congratulations you two! It was such a joy getting to know you both and I am so looking forward to capturing your wedding!

Spring Engagement Photos | Calgary Wedding Photographer
It’s like a modern day 101 Dalmatians – these two were brought together by a dog:)
Azar needed some veterinary care for her fur baby, Bella, and couldn’t help but notice how handsome the vet was.
Dale also kept noticing Azar but knew that he couldn’t ask out a patient’s owner. He hoped to be able to spend more time with her, and was thrilled when Azar asked him out on a date. And, as they say, the rest is history. They got engaged over a romantic meal and are planning a beautiful summer wedding that is sure to be full of emotion and personal touches.
So on a beautiful spring evening, when the sun was setting and their hearts were full, we photographed their love amongst the lilacs. Bella and her soon-to-be brother Isaac also came along to join in the fun.

Calgary Birth Photographers | Eli’s Birth Story
When Ashley first contacted me about photographing the birth of her third child, I was so excited. Other than my own twins, I had never before had the chance to witness a birth and I was so grateful for the opportunity.
After a false alarm a few days earlier, I got the message that Ashley was going into labour and I made my way to Rockyview General Hospital. I witnessed Ashley and Evan as they talked, completed crossword puzzles, timed contractions, and watched the sun go down on the last day before they would meet their new baby boy.
It was incredible to witness Ashley’s strength and determination – after only 7 minutes of pushing, little Eli was born.
And he was perfect.
There are really no words to describe the feeling of meeting a brand new person in the first moments of his life, hearing his first cries, and watching his parents fall completely in love. I will be forever thankful for the incredible honour of witnessing and photographing those first moments of Eli’s life.

Confederation Park Engagement | Calgary Engagement Photographer
I met up with Jeremy and Chelsea at Confederation Park for their engagement photos on a gorgeous spring evening. The mayday trees were blossoming, the sun was setting, and it was the perfect spot for this couple that actually had one of their first dates at Confederation Park. They brought Jeremy’s awesome car along which was he used as part of his proposal plot. He made his car break down in the middle of their date so that she wouldn’t suspect his upcoming romantic gesture.
And it worked! Chelsea was completely surprised and said yes!
