Knowing that they will soon meet a brand new little person that will forever change their family is so much fun. Chantelle & Pete’s Heritage Park Engagement Photos

“Completely and perfectly and incandescently happy…” – Jane Austen

Chantelle & Pete are, as they put it, an “online dating success story”. While they met online, it turns out that they actually had a lot of friends in common, and they quickly became very important to each other. While on a trip to beautiful wine country in the Okanagan Valley, Pete asked Chantelle to become his wife.

We met up at Heritage Park on a beautiful, sunny evening right before the rain clouds started to roll in. These two are so comfortable together, and as I’m sure you’ll be able to see in their photos, they make each other so completely happy…

Oh and P.S. They have a funky little woodworking business called Wise Ol’ Dowel (how cute is that?) that you should totally check out!

Thanks for such a fun evening you two! Can’t wait to photograph your wedding this fall:)

Edworthy Park Engagement Photos

She moved to England for work and fell in love with a prince! Well, he may not be an actual prince, but he does have an English accent and that’s pretty much the same thing;)

Andrew & Courtney came all the way across the pond from the United Kingdom to photograph their engagement photos near Courtney’s childhood home.

These two are so playful and tender with each other, showing care for one another’s needs. I can’t wait to witness their vows in Banff next spring!

Calgary Family Photos Fish Creek Park | Clark Family

Daphne has been working for the last 3 years as a wellness consultant with doTERRA essential oils, and this year will be featured in their leadership magazine this summer. She asked if I would take some photos of her family to be included with her article. We met at Fish Creek Park and just had fun running around in the trees and getting to know one another.

Daphne & Darrin said that this was their first family photo session in YEARS. It was such a pleasure to be able to capture their family and all that goes along with being a family; things like playful banter, dad jokes, mom telling her kids to get along, and lots of love and laughter.

Rocky Mountain Engagement Photos | Hannah & Austin

I’ve known Hannah and Austin for quite a few years, and have taken photos of each of their families on numerous occasions. But I had no idea that they had gotten together and so when we first met to discuss their wedding and I realized that Hannah’s fiancé was that Austin, I was completely shocked! I think I just yelled “WHAT?!?” for several minutes with a dumbfounded look on my face. They just smiled and laughed and told me about how their friendship had turned into romance, and now are planning a spring wedding at Heritage Park.

We took a road trip to the mountains on a beautiful, sunny winter day to shoot their engagement photos. We drove through the picturesque scenery of the Rocky Mountains, ran to chase the setting sun (literally), and finished off at the very bridge where Austin proposed to Hannah. These two were up for anything including getting wind-whipped, driving through avalanche territory, and almost getting stuck driving up the mountain. Their playful banter made the session so much fun and it was so clear to me that these two have a deep and genuine relationship.

Hannah & Austin – Thank you both SO much for allowing me to capture these beautiful memories for you. I am beyond thrilled that you found each other and I pray that God will richly bless you in your marriage. I can’t wait to witness you say your vows!
