“how strange to dream of you… even when I’m wide awake…”
Chelsea & Jeremy are best friends. On the night of their first date, they drove around all night until the sun came up, simply because they didn’t want to say goodbye. They share a love of 80’s hair bands and a deeper love for one another. So on a beautiful fall day, they stood in front of their family and vowed to be best friends for the rest of their lives. They carried some of their favourite songs close at hand, in the form of their flowers, which Chelsea’s mom made from sheet music.
They walked down the aisle in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Rundleview Park in Canmore. They asked their family and friends to participate in a traditional “ring warming ceremony”; saying a blessing for the couple as the rings were passed from guest to guest. Even though the smoke obscured the mountain views in a haze, the love between Chelsea & Jeremy shone clear for everyone to see. The new couple was pronounced, and they sealed their vows with a kiss. As they were signing the register, a breeze showered everyone with the falling autumn leaves.
We spent some time playing in the trees, and capturing the magical red light that came as a result of the smokey atmosphere. Chelsea would look at Jeremy, scrunch up her nose at him, and I knew that they were so absolutely in love.
Their reception was held at the Coast Hotel, and guests were seated at tables named after their favourite bands. Chelsea & Jeremy rocked out the air guitar during their first dance, and each guest went home with a Soundtrack of their first 5 years together. They danced the night away with their favourite people and lived happily ever after.
Chelsea & Jeremy – thank you both SO much for allowing me into your lives to capture these amazing memories for you. It was truly my honour.
