Emerald Lake Elopement Photos

It was a chilly fall day in Calgary when we made the drive out to Emerald Lake. As we ventured further into the mountains the snow began to fall, and when we arrived at Emerald Lake Lodge, the lake was barely visible due to the fog and snow. Gillian kept warm and cozy in her room as she had her hair and makeup done.  Her mom and grandmother looked on with excitement as they painted each others nails.

Everyone bundled up with blankets and covered themselves with umbrellas. The snow softly fell as Chris watched his radiant bride walk towards him and become his wife. Exuberant joy beamed across the faces of the family members that were there to witness.

After they said their I Do’s, it was time to explore! We spent some time capturing their love in front of the incredible, your-jaw-will-drop-cause-it’s-so-amazing lake, and then we ventured over to the Natural Bridge. To say that I was in awe of the beauty of this place would be such an understatement. It is truly a spectacular sight and I would welcome any opportunity to visit again.

Chris & Gillian – thank you both SO much for the privilege of getting to know you this year and capturing the love that you share. I hope that you can look back at these photos many years from now and be transported back to the love and joy that marked the beginning of the rest of your lives. Much love, Carlin

I know hey? Makes me want another wedding (to the same guy of course!) – and this time keep it super low key but in an incredible place like this! These two were such a treat to photograph and made it such an amazing day in the mountains. Thanks so much for commenting!ReplyCancel
